Through history, this hermitage has had different names and it is also currently known as the Hermitage of Saint Antonio or the Hermitage of the Holy Sepulchre.
It can be considered traditional religious architecture and it is one of the most outstanding examples of it in La Zubia.
We can find excellent masterpieces inside. Among them, those paintings and sculptures of Saint Antonio should be highlighted because of the importance of that saint, whose name is that of a neighbourhood in the village: Saint Antonio Neighbourhood.
The Ecce-Homo, inside the hermitage, deserves a comment as well. It is a sculpture of great magnificence which stands out due to its monumental character and realism. The Sorrowful Virgin is also noticeable. With a smaller size, it is revealed as a Virgin of Anguish whose chest is pierced by a dagger with a crucifix.
